concept

A concept is a structure that functions through the interplay of different elements. Initially I understood the term as a thinking frame, or construction, or working plan, but it seems to have broader meanings.
– A concept connects: it is the relationship between idea and formation, which at the same time are included in the concept; interconnected ideas, techniques and methods related to the action that can possibly result in a physical or mental realization.
– Concepts structure reality: influencing everyday lives in various ways.
– Concept as a construction plan: makes realization of artistic imagination possible.
– Concepts in the artistic use: could function as a guiding structure in the production bound to the (im)material processes. Possibly usable as a model for other (serial) work.
– Concept as an intention (conceptual art): functioning to show a (reality structuring) concept.
– Concept for the concept: the concept as a construction plan for a form that reveals structuring (a) concept(s).
– Art as a concept for the giving of meaning.
– Concept as (temporal) process: development of interrelated aspects within the (artistic) play.
– Concepts can relate to structures in the world or thinking processes. A standardized, possibly natural seeming structure might (unconsciously) be followed by answering a question or solving a problem or influencing our worldview (e.g. language).
– A concept is important to planning and creating a product or solving a problem, but it seems to lose some importance after finishing the process. The user has little attention for the concepts behind the result in the everyday-life. The totality of the used concepts seems often to be reduced to the end-product.
– The concept as a myth: in its concreteness, clarity, differentiation or universality.
– Concept as opposition: the guiding and the guided, the creating and the created, the concrete and the abstract, the conscious and the unconscious, the thereby (or thus).
The concept relates to diverse phenomena, but its form seems to be bound to the concrete. Understanding the term in its singular use might clarify its definition.

concept
– Concept as construction plan: enables the realization of the artistic idea.
– Concept as an artistic model: as a structuring red wire of material or immaterial artistic production, which can possibly be used as a model for further (serial) work.
– Concept as intention ( conceptual art ): showing the functioning (structuring reality), awareness through art consumption.
– Concept for the concept: Concept as a blueprint for a concept-revealing form.
– Art as a concept (s) of giving meaning.
– Concept as a (temporal) process: development of connected aspects in (artistic) play.
– Concept in relation: Concepts can be related to reality or to the thought process. A standardized, natural appearing structure can possibly (unconsciously) control how a question is answered or a problem is solved and influence our worldview (e.g. language).
– The concept is important when planning and realizing a product or solving a problem, but seems to lose some of it after the process is over. In everyday use, the user has little attention to the underlying concepts. In their entirety, these often seem to be reduced to the end product.
– The concept as a myth: in concreteness, uniqueness, differentiation or universality.
